Magma Photography is a young innovative photo studio created in March 2008 by Solange dos Santos and Dominique Andereggen. The studio offers professional photography with an artistic touch and the two photographers are specialised in Portraits photography (studio and location), Advertisement photography Products & Interior Design) and Reportage photography (Documentary, Events and other projects).
In the last two years Magma accumulated over 10’000 high quality images about Maputo and whole Moçambique. Finally the decision was made to create beautiful postcards with these pictures. Every single postcard shall become a piece of art. The sizes will be different then what is available right now on the Mozambican Market.
In the first phase 80 different Postcards will be created and printed in three different sizes:
- A5 landscape (2 x 8 rows),
- A5 portrait (1 x 6 rows) and,
- Panorama Format 105 x 210 (1 x 10 rows)
Magma will provide the postcards with special designed iron postcard stands with 4 tyres(see drawings).
That means, that every postcard stand comes along with 4 rows divided in 32 compartments and a capacity for 640 Postcards (every compartment includes 20 postcards of a motive).
Magma is selling the postcards mainly to resellers in two different packages (see below). The reseller is paying a deposit of USD 150 for the postcard stand (the postcard stand can be purchased for 300 USD) and will be reimbursed as soon as the postcard stand has be given back in a good condition. Comparing to the postcards, which are on the market right now, an appropriate price to sell the cards, is for the A5 size (doesn’t exist yet on the market) 50 MT and for the Panorama size (doesn’t exist yet on the market) a 45 MT. Of course these prices can be changed according to the selling place (e.g. Airport can be more expensive). Please see below the different packages.*
a) Package 1: Risk for the client*
Client buys all the postcards for 12’800 Mt (+150 USD deposit for the postcard stand):
- A5 size is 20 Mt,
- Panorama size is 18 Mt.
After selling the postcard, the client is winning 18’600 Mt.
b) Package 2: Risk for Magma*
Client buys all the postcards for 6’200 Mt (+150 USD deposit for the postcard stand)
After selling all the postcards (or every two month) the client will pay Magma per sold
Postcard:
- A5 size 20 Mt,
- Panorama size 18 Mt.
After selling the postcard, the client is winning 6’200 Mt.

After finding an agreement with our client and signing the MoU, The client has the possibility to order his own postcard (e.g. about the hotel).
The prices mentioned below in table 2 include the shooting, designing, printing and delivery costs.
